Coalcyn Equestrian is a brand new Dressage facility just outside Chico, California, surrounded by many acres of olive trees and pastures, stunning views over California and the beautiful Table Mountain.

Owner Josh Albrecht, born and raised on this family ranch, has always been surrounded by animals. From a very young age, he has gained in- depth knowledge on animal breeding. He won a lot of prices with his homebred animals: show goats, calves and dogs. Josh has been riding and breeding Quarter horses until 2019. He then switched to English dressage and has been successfully building his riding career since then with the help of several top trainers. He is currently competing at Grand Prix dressage level with Goldenboy. He trained and showed in Florida in the winter of 2023/2024 and got selected to compete for the US- U25 team in Wellington as well as in Michigan. He also competed at the National Championships in Chicago.

Coalcyn Equestrian focuses on breeding and training top quality Dutch Warmblood dressage horses, using only the best, proven, highly predicated dam lines with lots of sport. Soundness and good temperament is key for us, as well as strong top lines and the right mindset and talent for the upper levels.
