Bougie is a striking leopard Knabstrupper colt bred to excel in multiple competition rings!
He is a friendly, curious colt with 3 elastic, expressive gaits. He is handled daily.. he loves attention, had regular hoof trims since 2 weeks old, healthy vet visits since birth and is fed a balanced, forage based diet.

His dam- ROSALITA                                    (Rosario x O’She’s Gauguin x Opus)
Rosalita is a 16 hand well built premium ISR/Oldenburg mare with a lovely personality along with expressive and elastic gaits.
Her Sire: Rosario is by Rubinstein I and was 2002 Oldenburg Regional Champion. At his Performance Test he achieved the highest dressage index. He stands out against the many popular Rubinstein sons because of his spectacular trot as well as his outstanding walk and canter.                                                            Her Dam: O’ She’s Gauguin, by Opus*, is a premium ISR/Oldenburg mare out of generations of DAD winners.
In 2008 and 2009 she was USDF Mature Mare Horse of the Year. Her dam is by World Champion and Olympic Bronze medalist, Gauguin De Lully. Her grand sire is Olympic Idocus and a great uncle is Olympic Bronze Medal Winner Monaco. O’ She’s Gauguin has produced several USDF Regional and National HOY Champions and the newly licensed stallion Master Gauguin. O’ She’s Gauguin’s sire Opus* is Dutch registered, ISR/Oldenburg approved, 2006 USDF #1 Dressage Breeding Sire (2nd in 2005 and 2004), #1 NA/KWPN Dressage Breeding Sire in USEF rankings for 2005 and 2004, #1 Producer of premium mares and HOY winners since 2005.                   Rosalita herself was awarded the premium filly award and the following year was awarded the premium mare book score through ISR/ Oldenburg registry. She has generations of St. Premium and Elite mares, as well as several well-known Olympic mounts throughout her pedigree. She has proven to produce exceptional offspring. In 2010, she produced, Merry Me, Class I SWANA colt, by Masterpiece who was later an approved stallion. He was high score of his ISR/Oldenburg stallion test and went on to win high score of show in 7 out of 9 shows.

Bougie’s sire- Pax Asgard af Pegasus•    (Pegasus Vom Niehaus-Hof – Ambrosius af Asgard)
Pax Asgard af Pegasus (Pax) is an accomplished Knabstrupper stallion licensed with the Westfalen Knabstrupper book.
Pax is unique to the North American breeding pool as he can only genetically produce a leopard or near leopard when bred to a solid mare as he is homozygous LP and PATN1, fewspot. (LP/LP and PATN1/PATN1)    Standing at 16.3h, Pax is a sporthorse build with long legs and a big, well balanced frame. Pax is consistently producing long legs, good foundations and quality movement. A number of his 2021 foals received Premium. Pax is quickly becoming one of the most prolific sires of high quality Knabstrupper offspring in North America. He is proving to be a versatile and powerful horse – Pax is ridden in dressage, driven in harness and has recently started jumping and is showing lovely natural jumping talent. In 2021, Pax competed in the Get of Sire class at the world renowned Dressage at Devon earning a Bronze with a collective mark of 77.15 points to finish behind serial winner KWPN sire Sir Sinclair. Pax is tested negative for both PSSM1 and WFFS1. Pax does not carry the grey gene.
Pax’s sire, Pegasus Vom Niehaus-Hof, was imported to the USA. Pegasus was bred by the Dr. Ute Braun-Munzinger of Germany. Pegasus received his breeding license with the ZfDP in March 2004 and was awarded the Verbands Premium Hengst title, signifying that he was considered to be a top graded stallion by that German registry. Pax is fortunate to have a balanced top and bottom line pedigree that boasts the famous Apollon. Apollon became the first colored stallion to pass the rigorous hundred-day stallion testing in Germany, earning a worldwide breeding license. One his dam side, Apollon’s grandson, Ambrosius af Asgard “Atlantis” stands out as he was the first Knabstrupper stallion imported to America.
