Phyre is a lovely, level headed young filly who will make a super riding horse. She is old style like her dam, sturdy, deep chested and short backed. Her first away from home was to DSHB show in October, where she was reserve champion of one days event. Her scores put her in 7th place nationally, and 3rd place for NA KWPN. She behaved impeccably, enjoying being out and about with no silliness. She will finish around 16.2, and will lighten color with age.
Sire Ion SWF was bred by us, and sold to DG Bar at a young horse clinic. He went on to show up to PSG under their rider, including Lamplight were he was awarded the trophy for highest scoring US bred horse in his group. He remains a stallion, as his good nature and solid work ethic have never changed. His sire Lingh was internationally famous and successful at GP level.
Dam Zonnenshijn was imported to California as a young horse and showed successfully in YH classes. An injury to her annular ligament eventually ended her ridden career. She is old school, a magnificent mare with a great temperament.
Phyre has inherited her parents easy nature, soft back and willing work ethic. She had an extensive vetting, with a couple of findings that reflect her pricing. We have had them independently assessed by a couple of top vets who do not feel it will affect her riding career. The xrays can be made available to the veterinarian of a serious party. Both parents are neg for wffs, so Phyre is not a carrier.
