Description

Meet MacGyver, a charming and versatile Dutch HH sure to turn heads wherever he goes. With three exceptional gaits and a strong foundation in dressage, he has an extensive show record including the 2023 PVDA Schooling Show Championship where he earned the title of First Level Reserve Champion, and the PVDA 2023 Year End High Score Awards where he placed 4th at First Level in a large group.

MacGyver boasts good energy, responsiveness to aids, and a quick learning aptitude, making him well-prepared for advancing to higher levels of training. In addition to his under-saddle talents, he also works well in-hand. He measures 16.1 1/2 hands without shoes. Mac has been started over fences and shows aptitude, and we believe he would develop nicely into a lower level event horse or a fox hunting horse with some more experience.

Beyond his under saddle skills, MacGyver is known for his affectionate nature and enjoys human interaction, making him a true snuggle bug. He hacks out easily and stands quietly on the trailer.  Self loads. His exceptional hoof quality and balance, maintained while being barefoot since his acquisition as a 3-year-old, are truly remarkable. He has not experienced lameness issues and is current on all vaccinations and dentistry.

MacGyver possesses unwavering honesty and work ethic, and he is at a level in his development where he is ready to move up the levels. While he is 100 percent honest, he is still developing self confidence, and not fitted for a beginner rider. However, this is a horse you can learn with, take to clinics and shows, hack out for a fun trail ride, or even take on a hunt. Don’t miss this opportunity to welcome MacGyver into your equestrian journey.
