“Spencer” is a 13 year old Morgan gelding who has a permanent pony card(146cm). He has a show record at every level from training level to FEI Intermediate 1. He has shown at four regional championships and two USEF Dressage Seat Medal Finals. Spencer’s most notable competitive achievements are earning Region 4 Prix St George Jr/Yr Reserve Champion and helping his Jr rider earn a 90% and a Bronze Medal at the 2018 Dressage Seat Medal Finals. He is a very easy keeper — only fed grass hay/supplements and has to have limited grass turnout(currently dry lotted 12hours/day and turned out on grass 4 hours/day). He is also very safe, we hack him out in a halter without a saddle by himself without issues and I teach lessons on him to all levels of students. He is the same away from home as he is at home and travels/loads very well. He has a current coggins and is up to date on all shots. Lifetime registered with USDF and USEF.
He has hock xrays taken Spring 2021 and stifle/front hoof xrays taken December 2021. Spencer has some findings on his x-rays, but nothing causing unsoundness or long term issues. He does need front shoes currently to help his balance but he has outstanding hoof quality. Has had no soundness or major health issues during the entirety of my ownership of him ( 7 years+). We will send x-rays to any interested parties for review.
He is schoolmaster on all the work through 3rd level and has tempi changes, but requires an educated rider to school/show 3s and 2s. He has a great knowledge of piaffe, pirouettes, and passage. Would be an excellent partner for a smaller adult amateur looking to have a steady and fun partner to learn some of the higher level movements on. Owner is very motivated and price is negotiable to a 5 star home.
