“Rosie”
Amateur’s Dream Horse – Working Equitation/Western Dressage/Dressage/Ranch Versatility/Trail
2021 (4-yr-old) bay Friesian Cross Mare (3/4 Friesian, 1/4 Percheron), registered with FHH
Registered with USDF & USEF
A sweet and reliable mare with a calm demeanor, has a superb handle with real world experience and confidence outside the arena. Naturally balanced, brave and eager to please. She’s easy-going, trusting, and enjoyable to ride out with others or by herself. Oftentimes been ridden by my 9-year-old niece. Rosie has smooth, steady gaits, easy to sit, and has always been more whoa than go.
Excellent in high stress, high activity environments! Not reactive in crowded warmups. Participated in 4th of July parades with niece throwing candy from her back, surrounded by crowds, revving cars, four-wheelers, motorcycles and fireworks. Kid, husband and grandma SAFE.
Shown in ranch versatility, competitive trail and western dressage. Shown thru Basic WDAA classes (~USDF training), schooling level 1 WDAA (~USDF first). Confidence over obstacles, water, trail riding alone or with a group in various locations and terrain. Would be a perfect mount for working equitation! Rosie has been working and showing in a bosal, but beginning to transition to bridle/bit with no issues. She will be continuing her show record this fall in local OK dressage schooling shows as well as a Ranch Obstacle Challenge Fall Buckle Series, held in NW Arkansas, until sold.
Strong, healthy hooves; clean legs; Up-to-date on ALL vet, farrier and dental care. No health or lameness issues over the years. All records will go with her new person. Ties, loads, hauls amazingly, stands for farrier and has excellent ground manners. Lives on 20+ acre pasture with a group of others, and is always the first one to greet you! Loves attention! Not herd bound and is well travelled. She has been stabled away at shows and has great stall etiquette. No vices. She is a horse that you do not need in a program or ridden everyday; Can let her sit in the pasture for weeks/months then get right back under saddle without groundwork/lungeing. Loving 5⭐️ home is a priority, as she has been with me her entire life.
Thinning my herd (will not be the only one up for consideration). Building a barn for an IBH (insect bite hypersensitivity) & anhidrosis prone Friesian gelding of mine. Rosie & the KWPN soon-to-be available are my horses most likely to succeed with new partners and unfortunately up for consideration.
