This stunning colt – barn name Funky – has a gorgeous face and so much presence. He loves to show off his athletic abilities and get attention from people. He will go around the pasture or arena gaining lots of wows.

Funky is the second colt from Iluna by our Gelders stallion Nox. Nox is a son of Expression (Grand Prix stallion by Vivaldi). We imported him as a 2 year old. His dam is a KWPN Gelders Keur mare with a super dam line. Funky’s mother Iluna is a small mare with a huge heart. She comes from one of the best lines from Deborah Harrison, a well known Dutch Warmblood breeder in California. She has bred 16 Grand Prix horses with her program of which many came from Iluna’s line (Faire Thee Well). We started riding Iluna again last winter and in only a few weeks she was ready for a show. She is so eager, intelligent and powerful. All her foals have been lovely so far.

Funky is a top quality foal. The judges also liked him a lot at his recent KWPN inspection at our ranch. His power, self carriage, appearance and overall conformation really stood out. We think that Funky will be a wonderful- smaller sized- ride for an ambitious amateur. He’ll mature around 15.3hh. He’ll have enough spunk for the higher levels!

Uptown Funk was born the 11th of August and will be ready to move to his new home around December.  We offer Young Horse Pasture Board if you’d like to have him stay here for a bit longer.
