First Level Dressage Prospect For Your Consideration:
Rivendell is not your average warmblood. In fact, he’s not a warmblood at all! Rivendell has all the quality, temperament, and talent of the ideal warmblood — wrapped up in a slightly different package.
Rivendell is a 9 yr old, 16h TB gelding currently in full training at a premier hunter/ jumper show barn at one of the best riding facilities in Southern California. He’s well-mannered and forward in the most pleasant way. Riv carries himself uphill, balanced, and in front of your leg. He has an excellent natural rhythm, quality gaits, and a huge step that easily covers the ground. At 16h, he is the perfect size for any petite rider.
Rivendell comes out happy and eager to work every day. He is currently learning the basics: lots of bending and lateral work, light jumping, and plenty of time hacking in the fields. Rivendell naturally changes his leads on his own in play and under saddle, and we have no doubt that he’ll have flying changes perfected when the time comes.
Spookiness is not an issue. Rivendell is not afraid of anything – he clips, ties, trailers, and is good with the farrier and vet. He is an affectionate horse with a puppy-dog personality. More than anything, Rivendell is looking for his best friend and long-term partner.
Because Rivendell is still green, he is best suited for an experienced rider, amateur, or junior in a quality training program. Rivendell has a prior injury (healed and set) but is sound and has been in consistent work for over six months. His complete vet records, including x-rays, are available upon request.
