Jaguar de Quebrada
BIG TALENT FOR THE FUTURE!
Jaguar is beautiful dark bay Lusitano standing 16.3h. He moves and looks like a warmblood, while retaining all the best traits of the Lusitano breed. Jaguar and I spent 18 months training at a top Olympic stable in Portugal (Daniel Pinto Dressage) before his import to the US in May 2019. Jaguar has the most wonderful temperament with incredible trainability. He has three amazing gaits–a big, elastic walk with good overstep, a balanced, uphill canter and a rhythmic trot which shows great dynamic both for collected/passage work as well as extension. His gaits are easily adjustable, and lateral work is a breeze for him. Currently he schools fourth level, including changes and showing exceptional talent for piaffe and beginning passage. He is a lovely, soft ride in the snaffle or double and is suitable for a an AA, Jr/YR or professional. He travels well and behaves the same away as at home, and he requires basically zero prep. He is the kind of horse who works with the same happy attitude day in and day out, even after several days off. His unflappable demeanor means he will happily work in an indoor, covered, outdoor or simply cantering out in the fields. Jag is such a special horse because he combines both the natural talent and trainability for the CDI big ring with the temperament to make him a confidence booster for any level of rider. Really a top horse! Clean vetting from 2017, and no soundness issues or maintenance.
