Le Roi is a handsome 2016 KWPN gelding by Rubinus out of Discovery. “Roi” was started as a dressage prospect before playing in the hunter jumper arena with an adult amateur for the last 1 1/2 years. So this gelding has already experienced many different atmospheres and venues as well as being developed slowly and carefully. This gelding has 3 correct gaits that are developing ample expression and amplitude. Now back in Dressage training Roi is a quick study already playing with all second level movements with ease as well as half pass and green flying changes. The trot lends the feeling for the upper levels as he offers more reach and cadence willingly. The canter is easily adjustable and balanced. He stays supple and soft even while schooling more difficult movements. Le Roi loves to work and tunes into the rider quickly. Although he does not has a typical resume of a coming 6yo dressage horse, he does has lots of life experience, raw potential, willingness and the rideability to quickly surpass his peers. Clean xrays, 4 shoes, no vices. Easy for vet, trailering, farrier, etc.

About Rubinus:

Rubinus is a tall elegant black stallion sired by Rubinstein and out of the Elite mare, Rocca (Rouletto/Montevideo). Rubinus was inspected and approved for breeding by both the AHS and the Hanoverian Verband in 2011, scoring extremely well receiving an overall 8.

In 2003, Rubinus successfully completed both his 30-Day and 70-Day Tests in Warendorf with good results. At his 70-Day Test, Rubinus finished sixth overall out of 24 stallions. Rubinus stood his first few seasons at the Westfalen State Stud in Warendorf, where he was successful in young dressage horse classes. In 2010 Rubinus was successful in the dressage arena, with a Championship at Third Level under FEI judges. He has three very good powerful gaits, demonstrates high rideability and a good temperament. He is a very easy stallion who loves to work.

About Discovery:

Discovery is a nice and luxurious black stallion with a very nice front end and 3 powerful gaits.

His father Dolany is a son of the famous stallion Donnerhall, who is also the father of Don Schufro and Don Primero. Donnerhall is known as one of the World’s best dressage stallions. Dolany became 3rd at the ‘Bundeschampionat’ and with Discovery he produces an approved stallion out of his first breeding year.

In the dam-line we find the stallion Lorentin I, also a famous Holsteiner dressage stallion who is competing at Grand Prix level. Also, his offspring is doing very well as he already produced some approved stallions: L’Acteur and Limancello. The dam-line of Discovery is a line with a lot of performance. For example, some famous horses out of this line are Operette la Silla, Lantaan, Literat and Clintino.

Discovery has done a successful stallion test with a 9 for type, 8 for trot and an 8 for gallop. He has a striking appearance and bloodlines, which brings new blood for the dressage breeder. Discovery has a strong hind leg, a beautiful use of the front leg and is very easy to ride. With these qualities he seems to be a very talented stallion that can bring something extra for Sport and Breeding.
